Connecting SignAndGo to your other tools.
A signed document is rarely the end of the job. It needs filing, the client needs to exist in your accounts, and someone needs to know the deal closed. SignAndGo connects in two ways, each for a different kind of team, and none of them changes what your signers see.
Your AI assistant, for quick questions and sends
If you already work with an AI assistant, you can connect it to SignAndGo and ask it to check on envelopes or send documents, without opening the app. It suits people who live in their inbox and assistant all day and want a fast answer to "has the lease come back yet?".
The AI assistant guide covers what to ask and how to keep it sensible.
The API and webhooks, for your own systems
Developers can build SignAndGo into the software you already run. Create and send envelopes from your own system, and use webhooks to hear when an envelope changes status, so your records update the moment someone signs. It suits organizations with a customer portal, an HR platform or a booking system of their own.
A worked example: a staffing agency using both
Consider a Chicago staffing agency placing temporary staff. It is invented for illustration, but each step uses a connection described above.
- When a consultant marks a candidate as placed in the agency's own placement system, that system uses the API to send the candidate an envelope with the assignment terms and a tax withholding form.
- A webhook reports back when the candidate has signed, and the placement system moves the candidate to ready to start, so nobody has to check by hand.
- Client terms of business go out from SignAndGo directly, using a shared template.
- The director, who is rarely at a desk, asks her AI assistant each morning which client terms are still waiting on a signature, and sends reminders from the envelope when she is back at her laptop.
Choosing where to start
Most teams do not need both. Start with the one that removes the most double handling.
- Asking a colleague for envelope status several times a day: try your AI assistant.
- Copying details from your own system into SignAndGo by hand: talk to your developer about the API.
Things to check before you rely on a connection
- AI assistant: read back the recipient and document before it sends, especially when two contacts share a first name.
- API and webhooks: have your developer test the full path, from creating an envelope to receiving the signed status, before switching real work across.
- Both: decide who in the team owns each connection, so someone notices if it stops being used or needs changing.
What stays the same
Connecting a tool changes where documents go and who hears about them. It does not change how signers sign, what the audit trail records or how the completion certificate looks. You can add or remove a connection without changing your templates or your envelopes. Inside MyAndGo, SignAndGo also shares a login with ShareAndGo and BookAndGo.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I use more than one connection at once?
- Yes. A business might check envelopes through an AI assistant and run its own portal on the API at the same time.
- Will connecting a tool change what signers see?
- No. Signers get the same email and signing link whichever tools you have connected.
- Can my AI assistant send documents?
- Yes. Once connected, it can check on envelopes and send documents for you.
- What do webhooks do?
- They let your own system hear when an envelope changes status, such as when someone signs.
